I just wanted to share with you the news that I have been asked to open the lectures at this year’s World Ballroom Dancing Congress on Saturday 28 May 2011.

It is a huge honour for any dancer to be asked to lecture here… Being asked to speak as a musician is unprecedented.

I shall be in good company with a plethora of amazing past and present Ballroom and Latin Dance Champions… They include:

Mirko Gozzoli and Edita Daniute, Riccardo Cocchi and Yulia Zagorychenko, Richard and Anne Gleave, Christopher Hawkins and Joanne Bolton, Sammy Stopford, Bryan Watson and Carmen, Caterina Arzenton, Donnie Burns MBE, Michael Malitowski and Joanna Leunis, John Wood, Franco Formica and Oxana Lebedew, Victor Fung and Anastasia Muravyova, Andrew Sinkinson, Sergey Surkov and Melia, Massimo Giorgiani, Sirpa Suutari, Arunas Bizokas and Katusha Demidova.

I have chosen the title: ‘Musicality… The Untouched Element’ and I look forward to sharing a few of my thoughts on an often shrouded subject.
