Blackpool Dance Festival DVDs
by Ashley Frohlick on Sep.06, 2010, under General News
The latest DVDs from the Blackpool Dance Festival 2010 are now yours to own from those incredibly talented people at Studio Himawari.
World class recordings of some world class dancing to the world class music of the Empress Orchestra.
Available in ‘Standard’, ‘Latin’ and as a 3 DVD ‘Box Set’ which includes the ‘Invitational Team Match’ recorded on Saturday night during the Festival.
For all the dancers out there; this is a perfect way to see the world’s finest do what they do from the comfort of your own armchair.
Technique, poise, balance, shape, movement, lines, footwork, choreography and occasionally even a little musicality…
You can even watch them in slow motion, (though it sounds better with the music on!)
Please help support this incredibly costly venture by purchasing a copy or two from Studio Himawari.
It would be greatly appreciated also if you would support our very own costly venture by purchasing a copy of our album ‘Always & Forever’. This music is heavily featured on the Himawari DVDs and is an essential album to own if you compete or just love Ballroom Dance Music.
Best wishes,
Ashley Frohlick

Dear Zhivko,
I have spoken with Studio HImawari regarding your enquiry and though DVDs for this event were not produced for sale in their own right, they have and will include as a DVD insert a few rounds from other events in their wonderful bi-monthly magazine “Dance Wing“.
Here is a list of the issue number and the contents of the DVDs within each magazine:
Issue 56 (Sept) – Blackpool Professional Rising Star (Standard) from Quarter Final to Final.
Issue 57 (Nov) – Blackpool Professional Rising Star (Latin) from Quarter Final to Final.
Issue 58 (Jan ’11) – Blackpool Amateur Rising Star (Standard & Latin) Finals only +
(UK Congress) ‘Call Me Old Fashioned’ by Graham Oswick.
Issue 59 (Mar ’11) – Blackpool Under 21 (Standard & Latin) Finals only +
(UK Congress) ‘Dance As A Common Language’ by Alberto Pregnolato.
Issue 60 (May ’11) – (UK Congress) ‘An Audience With Rudy Trautz’.
I hope that this information is useful, if you wish to purchase the magazine(s), then please click on the link above or read our archived ‘Blog’ entries regarding Dance Wing here on the Empress Orchestra’s Blog page for further information.
Best wishes,
Ashley Frohlick.

Dear Zhivko,
Due to current unstable economic times I believe that after the March edition of ‘Dance Wing’ has been released that Studio Himawari will be stopping production of this magazine.
If it is something that you wish to purchase then my advice would be to order your copy early.
Best wishes,
Ashley Frohlick
